Position Description

 

Day & Zimmermann Canada currently has a temporary, maternity leave opportunity in the position of Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP). 

This position partners with the Canadian team including senior leaders, managers and employees. The successful incumbent will execute HR plans, process and programs aligned with the business goals including succession planning, talent and performance management, employee engagement, communications, DE&I, learning and development. With guidance, the HRBP advises and counsels leaderships teams.

This position is based out of our Kincardine, ON office.

 

Responsibilities

•    Conduct thorough investigations in accordance with company and legal guidelines. Provide guidance and counsel to management on conflict resolution, HR and employee relation issues as arises.  Reviews and approves separations and disciplinary actions. Coaches management on employee development and performance management conversations.
•    Partners with leadership on performance management, talent review,workforce planning, employee relations and succession planning. Consults on matters such as, ESA, AODA, compensation and other HR policies and procedures.
•    Partners with management and employees to build positive work relationships and morale with teams while increasing productivity and retention. Embrace and integrate DE&I in business strategies. Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, midrange plans, culture and competition.
•    Conducts HR training and/or assists in the implementation of human resources initiatives or projects.
•    Liason to specialized HR functional groups and COE to maximize employee and customer support.
•    Partner with other HR areas to provide guidance and input on compensation administration, including job evaluations to ensure internal equity and market competiveness. Assist management and compensation team with annual merit and discretionary bonus process.
•    Responsible for full recruiting process including sourcing, interviewing, and the offer process.

 

Job Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business or related field
•    4+ years experience in Human Resoures, with a diverse experience across areas of HR
•    Solid understanding of ESA, AODA, and provincial specific employment related laws/legislation.
•    Strong verbal and written communications skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
•    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
•    Strong problem solving skills.
•    SAP experience preferred
•    Success Factors experience preferred
•    CHRP/CHRL or SHRM-SCP preferred
