As the Cost Estimator, here’s the work you’ll do:

  • Maintains estimating databases (RSMeans), software (MII) and other estimating tools for all Mason & Hanger users
  • Maintains standard templates and reports for estimates to various clients.
  • Collaborates with all department and serves as a point of contact in support of cost estimate projects.
  • Leads the preparation and delivery of design cost estimates exceeding clients expectations.
  • Provides Quality Assurance reviews for work performed by others.
  • Support project managers in the submittal of design documents.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Format and content requirements for Department of Defense design cost estimates and design documents.
  • Ability to travel and obtain access to Department of Defense facilities.
  • MII Software and RSmeans Databases/Estimating resources.
  • Use of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
  • Personnel management and communication.

And if you have these qualifications:

  • BS in Building Science, Architecture, Engineering
  • 5-10 years experience related to DoD cost estimating
  • Certified Cost Engineer
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Great attitude and team player
  • Successful completion of background screening process

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the wage range for this role is $71,120 - $106,680. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
