Job Description: 

We’re looking for a full-time, staff CIVIL ENGINEER 4, to join the Day & Zimmermann team.

Under administrative direction, an Engineer IV is expected to function in a discipline leadership role on medium sized projects. Able to apply advanced engineering techniques and analysis. In addition to technical leadership, the position could require the individual provide discipline administrative and supervisory functions on the assigned project, including the development of discipline scope document, engineering budget, schedule and associated staffing plans and management of assigned staff

 

This role can be in office in Greenville, SC or Charlotte, NC  or remote.

As the CIVIL ENGINEER, here’s the work you’ll do:

• Provides technical guidance for the pertinent portions of the assigned projects.
• Develops and monitors project scopes for applicable discipline. Identifies changes in scope and their impact, as they occur.
• Provides coordination of design efforts with other disciplines and client personnel.
• Monitors and ensures design work and documents are correct, consistent with applicable codes, logically presented and constructible.
• When responsible for work, stamps required project documents as a PE.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

• Strong organizational skills for multiple projects.
• Exhibits both technical breadth and depth of subject engineering curriculum.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to supervise and lead the completion of projects.

And if you have these qualifications:

• BS/BA degree in Engineering required from an ABET accredited college/univeristy
• MS Degree preferred
• 12+ years experience
• Experience in effective project execution and project procedures
• PE Strongly Preferred
• Great attitude and team player.
• Successful completion of drug and background screening process

 

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $114,880 - $172,320. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
