Position Description

We’re looking for a full-time, staff Subcontract Administrator, MC to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in Charlotte, NC. The Subcontract Administrator is responsible for the cradle-to-grave subcontracts assigned per capital projects’ requirements within the Nuclear, Fossil, Renewables, Government and Industrial market sectors. This position develops and manages subcontractor relationships. The Subcontract Administrator responsible for the creation and execution of subcontracting activities and documents per the prime contract in a matrixed organization. This position participates in formulating strategies to reduce the total costs of services to positively impact the business’ profitability. 

As the Subcontract Administrator, MC, here’s the work you’ll do:

  • Assists in the development of a Subcontract Strategy and Plan to support program schedule and estimate; Assists Supply Chain Director in preparation of labor estimates to include DBA determinations, proposal support, attends supplier and project meetings, and visits client facilities as requested.
  • Manages full Subcontract lifecycle from preparation of the Recommended Bidder's List (RBL), issues RFQs (Request for Quote), receives and evaluates bids, prepares Competitive Bid Evaluation (CBE), conducts supplier negotiations, issues POs, administrates change orders and Subcontract closeout.
  • Updates Project Status Reports in a timely manner including current status of RFQ's, subcontractor data, committed delivery dates and receipt of subcontract deliverables.
  • Negotiates pricing with subcontractors and responds to requests for bid clarification, identifies areas of risk, establishes and maintains relationships with subcontractors, project execution teams and internal business partners. Develops and establishes relationships with diverse subcontractors.
  • Engages in timely communication with Supply Chain Management and/or Project Manager of potential issues to ensure and/or mitigate impact to scheduled dates/deliverables; Attends project meetings including Kick Off, and Project Status meetings as directed.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage internal/external customer requirements utilizing resources to accomplish tasks efficiently and support schedule in a matrixed organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency using MS Office and SAP.
  • Experience in EPC and Government Contracting.

And if you have these qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years.
  • CPSM, CPCM.
  • Great attitude and team player. 
  • Successful completion of background screening process.

 

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $79,040.00 - $118,560.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
