Position Description
We’re looking for a full-time, staff Sr. Analyst, Financial, Fossil Market, to join the Day & Zimmermann team.
This position supports the Fossil Market Finance Director and is the business partner providing direct financial guidance and support to multiple Directors, PM's and SM's within the fossil sub-market across both Union and Open Labor fleet. The role monitors, researches, manages and reports key financial information regarding the nuclear market's operations across multiple customers.
As the Sr. Analyst, Financial, Fossil Market, here’s the work you’ll do:
- Advisor to Fossil Market senior business leaders.
- Responsible for the identification and explanation of deviations from Growth and Profit Plan (budgetary)/change in customer mix and impact to gross margin while addressing any significant change in financials or deviation from mission statement.
- Provides concise, timely, effective analysis and reporting of financial and operating performance.
- Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of assigned customer financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
- Generate value added dash board reports, metrics, and KPI’s for each customer and/ or project as required.
- Assesses contract, insurance, tax, ROI, and cash flow risks, exposures, and opportunities with market leadership. Manages the financial assessment of all assigned customer RFP / RFQ opportunities.
- Reviews performance and adequacy of Results Analysis on all active contracts versus the original proforma 'sold as' models. Performs period close duties applicable to assigned contracts including payroll tax, benefits and insurance reconciliations where appropriate. Create and maintain financial models including pro forma pricing to support operations activities such as but not limited to Client contract bid and proposal analysis and pricing for time and material, firm fixed price, and cost plus rate opportunities while assessing and applying known or anticipated contract terms and conditions.
- Provides direction, governance and oversight of all financial results for multiple remote sites within the market. Participate in special projects as assigned.

- Proven knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Planning and Analysis along with a strong Strategic and Operational understanding of higher-level business decision making.
- Knowledge of Government cost accounting standards and FAR provisions.
- Ability to clearly and consistently get information across in a timely and effective manner both verbally and in writing via multiple methods (i.e., presentations to groups both large and small).
- Demonstrates the ability to influence people and get them to take appropriate action.
- Ability to consistently assess, isolate and prioritize critical issues while being able to interpret and convey variances within the business operations.
- Ability to respond to multiple discipline requirements with financial guidance, recognizing the potential impact on the unit’s results which include the understanding and evaluation of contract terms and conditions.
And if you have these qualifications:
- 5+ years industry experience
- 2+ years experience in a Sr. Financial Analyst position, with demonstrated ability to deal with senior management
- Great attitude and team player.
- Successful completion of drug and background screening process.
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $90,460 - $135,960. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
