We’re looking for a full-time, staff Instrumentation and Controls Engineer II,

to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in either Greenville, SC or Charlotte, NC or fully Remote.

As the Instrumentation and Controls Engineer II, here’s the work you’ll do:

Under the direction of a lead engineer, the Instrumentation and Controls Engineer develops preliminary and detailed design I&C related documents such as Scopes of Work, Specifications, Data Sheets, Network Architecture drawings, Instrument Index, I/O List, Loop Drawings, Control Narratives, and Connection Diagrams.

•             Performs assigned tasks to assist discipline lead.

•             Prepare specifications, sketches and diagrams.

•             Coordinates design efforts with other disciplines.

•             Reviews vendor/supplier drawings and documentation.

•             Develops Instrument Index

This role is for you if you have these skills:

•             Basic understanding of I&C System design principles, terminology and industry practices.

•             Self starter who is able to work with minimal supervision.

•             Effective verbal and written communication skills.

•             Team oriented.

•             Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite of applications, and CAD programs.  Ability to quickly learn and use other software packages.

 

And if you have these qualifications:

•             BS Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.

•             3+ years of experience.

•             FE Preferred

•             Successful completion of background screening process.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $83,600 - $125,400. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
