Position Description

Marketing & Communications Coordinator needed for a temp to hire opportunity with Day & Zimmermann Government Services

This position reports into the Director of Marketing & Communications and supports the Day & Zimmermann Government Services (DZGS) Group.

The Work You’ll Be Doing:

  • Communications & Marketing: Support the creation (writing, drafting, editing, design) and dissemination of digital marketing content, internal messaging, social media and website content.
    • Background in writing and design, supporting a diverse set of digital communications/marketing programs
    • Strong working knowledge of social media platforms with ability to learn new digital tools for design and communication
    • Ability to help write, define, and design compelling content
    • Ability to guide social media campaigns and provide reports to leadership
  • Support: Social media and website monitoring. Monitor and track leads to help support marketing content initiatives.
  • Events: Marketing Collateral, Events Evites/Tracking, Giveaways/Supplies/Ordering, Locations/Logistics, potential On-site Support

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism and/or related specialization in Government or International Studies
  • 1-3 Years of related experience
  • Great attitude and team player
  • Strong samples of your work, writing/design/social media campaigns
  • Successful completion of background screening process. (If applicable)
  • Successful completion of timed writing and design test

  • Works well independently, excellent communication skills, organized and follows processes in place for Marketing team.
  • Excellent writing skills, with ability to address complex topics in the English language.
  • Creative thinker. Must be able to provide ideas when brainstorming, developing, and producing work. Ability to manage work from concept through production.
  • Agility and the ability to navigate complex mission-critical topics
  • Proficiencies: Knowledge/use of HubSpot or website CMS, Canva, and/or InDesign are a plus


In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the wage range for this role is $60,080 - $90,120. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
