Position Description

We’re looking for a full-time, staff Temporary HR Generalist, to join the Day & Zimmermann team.

 

The HRG will be responsible for human resources interaction with managers, and employees supporting policies, procedures and programs for the IS business units. Working alongside the Manager of Human Resources, the HRG assists with employee relations issues, ethics and employment investigations, data management, benefit administration, talent acquisition, performance management, and employee development. The incumbent will partner with the HR Manager to coach and advise employees. HRG will promote innovation and continuous improvement through HRIS systems- MYDZEXP, SEP, and PIRs.

 

As the Temporary HR Generalist, here’s the work you’ll do:

  • Frontline support for answers questions on policies, leave administration, performance management and other employee related concerns. Work with HR Manager, task orders, Corp SMEs on resolution to issues and addressing concerns. Fully manages WPS HR inbox.
  • Working within the IS business to include WPS Expat Onboarding support, Staff Onboarding support, and benefits administration via Met Life for Expats. HRG will promote innovation and continuous improvement through HRIS systems- MYDZEXP, SEP, and PIRs.
  • Oversees and QCs a high volume of personnel SEP actions generated through the program management database for accurate and timely completion supporting Expats60M; ensures all necessary supporting documents are received for onboarding and are within approved guidelines. Creates, analyzes and distributes various ad-hoc HR reports; acts as a resident SEP, PIRs, and MYDZEXP subject matter expert and provides support with all troubleshooting and issue resolution for HRIS systems.
  • Working with HR Manager to support talent management initiatives including employee engagement, performance management, employee training, organizational development, and succession planning. Ensures efforts are synchronized with corporate organizational development/organizational effectiveness initiatives on talent management.
  • Manages exit interviews. Maintain stats and trends on employee activities, including terminations, onboarding, employee relation input into betternet system.

 

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Professional Depth/Functional Competency - Strong working knowledge of human resource disciplines to include employee relations, organizational diagnosis and development, compensation practices, performance management and career development
  • Strategic Thinking and Problem Solving -- Able to work through necessary channels to accomplish outcomes in complex settings; understanding of processes and continuous improvement. Requires analytical, technical and/or management capabilities. Able to simultaneously think and act strategically and operationally
  • Business/Financial Acumen -- Able to understand and work with key financial measurements to analyze the business; understands how business strategies and tactics impact marketplace perception; understands how to align and prioritize HR processes and practices to support the organization’s vision and goals.
  • Communication/Facilitation -- Excellent communication and facilitation skills. Able to drive change and facilitate internal communication processes. Possess strong coaching/consulting and conflict resolution skills. Must possess capacity to build strong collaborative relationships. Able to effectively influence and manage crucial conversations with key stakeholders.
  • Customer Focus Orientation -- Strong focus on service delivery to internal customers while supporting alignment with broader organization. Must build and develop relationships and be able to absorb and translate others' statements into objective responses and actions. Is able to effectively give and receive constructive feedback .

And if you have these qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Organization Development, or Business Administration or equivalent. MS in HR or MBA desireable
  • 3-5 years human resources experience across all ranges of HR disciplines.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP/SCP, CCP, CBP desired or ability to obtain
  • Ability to obtain US Security Clearance, or HR International experience a plus

 

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $66,160 - $99,240. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
