Position Description

Day & Zimmermann is seeking a Supply Chain Director to join our Government Services team in Chantilly, VA. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, driving procurement strategies and ensuring seamless supply chain management.

What you’ll do:

Strategic Sourcing: Lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing plans, identifying cost-effective solutions while adhering to strict government regulations (CPSR, FAR/DFAR).
Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring performance meets expectations.
Team Leadership: Develop and mentor a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency.
Operational Excellence: Implement and optimize supply chain processes, leveraging technology (like SAP/ERP) to drive efficiency and visibility.

What you’ll need:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or a related field
Minimum 10 years of supply chain experience with a focus on government contracts
In-depth knowledge of government contracting and regulations
Proven experience managing complex supply chains in a fast-paced environment
Strong negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills
CSCP, CPIM, CPM preferred.
