Position Description

We're looking for a full-time, staff Contracts Administrator 3, to join the Day & Zimmermann team. Responsible for the day-to-day leadership for contract negotiation/management/administration for complex commercial and government (FAR/DFAR) programs with domestic and international end use. You will manage and/or conduct front end strategic assessment of business pursuits, proposal preparation, contract negotiation and contract administration to ensure proper contract formation and compliance in accordance with company objectives and applicable laws and regulations. Primary subject matter expert for all questions regarding "contracts" for all assigned programs.

 

As the Contracts Administrator 3, here's the work you'll do: 

  • Development of and ensure procedures, templates, summaries and checklists for contract review, formation and administration are adhered to in their area of responsibility. Review proposals and contracts for compliance to these procedures, company policy and regulation for approval in accordance with the delegation of authority. Coordinate with business leaders and other functions to ensure business teams fully understand contract requirements to make informed decisions and mitigate all risks.
  • Responsible for preparing and drafting contractual terms and conditions, identifying and negotiating out-of-scope work, providing liaison with the customer and coordinating and preparing proposals. Provides interface between Contractor and Government and/or third Party in issues related to the contract. Responsible for ensuring that business team objectives and risk mitigation efforts are represented vigorously during the contract negotiation process and that drafted language addresses business concerns appropriately and business leaders know final terms and conditions.
  • Lead negotiations concerning initial contracts and/or subsequent modifications to ensure that the final structure and language are appropriate.
  • Identify and manage risk management mitigation actions in all business operations and effectively communicates risks to functional management

This role is for you if you have these skills: 

  • 7 Years of progressively complex experience in Government Contracts Administration is required (FAR/DFAR)
  • Must have experience in negotiating and managing cost reimbursement, fixed price, and flexibly priced contracts

 

And if you have these qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in arts/science (BA/BS)
  • Preferred area of study is Business Administration, Business Management, or Contracts Administration

 

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $90,640 - $135,960. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
